Back
Back pain that keeps returning has a pattern. We break it.
Chronic and recurring back pain is rarely just a structural problem. At Stance, we look at load capacity, movement habits, and muscle function — not just what an MRI shows.

How Stance approaches back pain
We don't treat back pain with passive therapies alone. Our assessment identifies your specific load tolerance, movement deficits, and strength gaps. We build a graded, progressive programme that trains your spine to handle real-life demands — and we track your progress with objective measures so you can see the change.

Frequently asked questions
Is back pain always caused by a disc problem?
No. The majority of back pain is not disc-specific and responds well to exercise-based rehabilitation. Even when disc changes are present, they are often not the primary driver of pain.
Should I rest or keep moving?
For most back pain, graded movement is better than rest. We'll guide you on the right type and intensity of movement for your presentation.
How many sessions will I need?
Most patients see meaningful improvement within 4–8 sessions. Long-term resolution typically requires 8–16 weeks of structured rehab.
