How we treat mcl & lcl injuries

We assess the grade of ligament injury and current functional limitations. Treatment progressively restores range of motion, strength and stability through a phased protocol appropriate to the severity of injury.

Common symptoms

  • Pain on the inner (MCL) or outer (LCL) side of the knee
  • Swelling along the affected ligament
  • Instability or giving way during side-stepping or pivoting
  • Pain with valgus or varus stress on the knee
